Getaway

It's officially Spring Break and we are enjoying every second of it.

Early Saturday morning we dropped off our little bubba with my parents and headed to Branson to shop, eat, relax, spend quality time together, and eat some more! We're going to the beach pretty soon for vacation, so we decided to do a long weekend away so that J can save his vacation days for the summer. The weather was perfection while we were there! Justin and I haven't ever stayed at Big Cedar Lodge, so we knew that is where we wanted to stay. After one visit, we are already planning our next trip back. It's lovely. Justin hadn't been to Branson since he was a little tiny tot, and his commentary as we drove down the main strip was hilarious. We love to travel and see new places together, and this was no exception, even if it was only a couple hours from home.

I cannot brag enough about this place. Justin chose the perfect spot for us. I had the salmon and J got the scallops. DELISH. Oh, and they had Justin's favorite wine from Napa that we cannot find many places in Arkansas, so that was a special treat for him.

The next morning we ate breakfast at the little bakery shop and walked around. We came upon this fish. Without question, Justin hopped up to get his picture taken.

Next, we headed to a local winery that Justin found. It was fun!

After we left the winery, we went to the Branson Landing to eat and shop some more. Justin was in heaven at Joe's Crab Shack for lunch. The kid loves sea food. As do I, but he takes it to another level.

While we were away, bub got to spend half the time with my parents and half the time with the Swann's. Let me assure you he was spoiled rotten. He got to play with Nan, ride the big rocking horse at Lolly and pop's, go to a friend's birthday party, go to the park to swing, slide, and climb, go pet the actual horses and see ducks. Then, with the Swann's he got to eat at his favorite place: Dixie Cafe, shop for shoes, go for a red wagon ride, and play with his cousin.

Speaking of cousin, Brody has a new baby girl cousin. Addison Campbell Swann decided to come a little over 2 weeks early. She is gorgeous! She and mom are doing great. Jon (Justin's twin) and Candace didn't find out the sex, so you can imagine how much fun it was for all of us! We got to love on her again last night, and I will be going back this week to spend more time with her and her big sister.
