3 Months

Linley Kate is three months old as of yesterday and what a joy she is to our family.

This has been such a fun month – Sis' little personality is really starting to shine. She is content, observant, independent, and happy. She doesn’t mind putting herself to sleep or playing by herself. She loves to be in motion, and now that she is figuring out body parts she is filled with excitement as she moves around.

She can do no wrong in her daddy's eyes. That man is smitten. It's the sweetest thing to see them both light up when he gets home from work.

She laughs the most with me and bub though, and she is pretty fond of her momma. 😊

Her hands find her mouth often, and she blows raspberries all the time.

She is really starting to explore. There is nothing better than watching her discover new things. I love watching her figure out what her hands and feet can do. Currently, she’s hitting and grabbing objects -- around 2 months, was the first time she grabbed and pulled on an object she had been staring at.

We have conversations that last longer now; she “oohs and aahs.” One thing she is doing that i dont believe Brody did at the age, she is making "guuu" "gaaa" noises. I enjoy every second of it. The giggling is the best!

We start our night-night routine at 7; bath, feeding, bed. She is usually asleep by 8:00p.m. and wakes up between 6:00 – 7:00 a.m.

She's eating 5.5 oz every 4 hours during the day.

LK is wearing size 1 diaper and size 3 month clothes.

Sis' naps are inconsistent. One day she’ll take a 2 hour morning nap and 1 hour afternoon nap. The next day she may only take a few 30 min. naps. And the next she’ll take one morning nap for an hour and one afternoon nap for an hour.

She holds her head steady and upright for a short time. We’re working on mastering this skill.

Tummy time isn't really her favorite.

She loves her swing now.

She ADORES Brody and it brings me joy to watch them interact. The feeling is mutual most of the time. 😉 He reads to her and plays with her on her play mat.

Sissy, we really didn't think we would be lucky enough to have another baby as sweet and content as your brother, but fortunately for us, we were wrong. Your smile is infectious and your disposition so sweet. Love you baby girl!
