Great Weekend

Friday after work I met up with two girls I adore! My precious friends, Amber and Jill. They both happened to be in town so Amber put a together a dinner date for us. I am truly blessed by their continued love and support through life. Jilly and I met in Mrs. Westbrook's first grade class and Amber and I met on the volleyball court in 6th grade. Maybe not on the court - but something like that.
While I was eating dinner with the girls, Justin was grilling out at my parents. After dinner Amber followed me over to mom and dads to see their new casa - Jon, Candace, and Malyn also stopped by to visit. It was nice to have a night off from doing school work.

Last night Justin took me on a date! I do love going on dates with my man! He really does continue to sweep me off my feet - I know, cheesy, right- but true. We ate dinner at Mike's Place (our favorite here in Conway) and then went to see Julie and Julia. Must see! I'm not sure how excited Justin was about going to this one, but he knew I wanted to see it. We both enjoyed the movie - it made us want to cook/bake. Meryl Streep is a hoot and as we all know, a brilliant actress! Two thumbs up!

Well I'm off to the kitchen to make breakfast for supper and bake chocolate chip cookies for our new neighbors - a little Julia Child action, if you will.

Family and Surprise

My apologizes for falling behind on blogging! It's been a while. No excuses.

Friday night Justin and I were so worn out from the week that we ordered Sushi take out and rented a movie. It was awesome! I'm pretty sure we were both out before 10:00 p.m.

Saturday morning we woke and headed over to my parents new house to help them unload storage. They treated us to Stoby's for lunch! UMMM. So good. That afternoon we headed up to the Swann farm to visit family, then we all went to eat at Marketplace for dinner. While we were there Justin came across some Little Rock Crate and Baskets that Marketplace has displayed out in the lobby - for those that may not know, Justin's family owns Little Rock Crate and Basket - we think it's neat when we run across some. Anyway, after dinner we went to the Saturday night service at church - I had no idea but this was all planned - we usually go to the Sunday morning service but Justin had a surprise up his sleeve....

Sunday my sweet man surprised me with a shopping trip to Memphis for the day. 1.) I love surprises 2.) We had the best time 3.) I am the luckiest girl in the world. Thank you handsome for such a fun surprise!

Wedding Weekend

This weekend one of my good friends and soriety sisters, Ellen Dean, got married in North Little Rock. Friday we had a lovely brunch at The Manor House in Historic downtown Little Rock. That evening we went to rehearsal/dinner and then the wedding was Saturday. After the wedding Justin and I boogied over to Juanita's for a couples shower honoring Mr. Ben Hartz and Miss Nicole Engelkes. While we had a great time at the shower, we were bummed that we had to miss the reception at the Clinton Library.

I need to go ahead and apologize for the lack of pictures taken at these events! Opps!

Doug's 50th Birthday and Concert

Wednesday was my father-in-law's 50th birthday! Lisa (my mother-in-law) had a party for him upstairs at U.S. Pizza in Hillcrest to celebrate! Of course the food, drink, and cake were great but the company was even better! Lisa had a table setup for Doug to sign autographs. Comical. To make a long story short, about a month ago he was invited to Academy Sports as a "pro"fessional fisherman to sign autographs and talk to kids.

Last night we met Jonathan and Jill to eat at Loca Luna, then we went to see Keith Urban and Sugarland in concert. This was our second time to see Keith in concert and once again he amazed us - so talented.

Thank you Mar and Am

I owe my new found love, blogging, to some of my best friends- Amber and Marietta - they are the hot blond girls in all the photos below. Thank you for forcing us (okay not really, but you did push) to start a blog - I love it!!! I cannot forget everyone else who suggested that we join the blogging world. Thank you!
Al, Mar, Meg, Am

Oh, by the way, for some reason we aren't allowed to receive comments. I did exactly what the instructions said to do -which was exactly what Marietta said to do - and it just did not work. I'm determined to figure this out. Comments ap coming soon.

Shootin' Guns at the Swann Farm

Yesterday was HOTT but we had a blast at the farm. I say farm, but really for those that may not know, the Swann's own land just outside of Conway. Not necessarily a farm. I mean no farm animals. Unless you want to count deer. A lot of deer.

Side Note: When the kids were younger they use to have a peach orchard. I think Justin wants to start it back up.

After church we headed up there to meet my dad and shoot guns. I know all of my girl friends are laughing right now. Trying to picture me, miss girly girl, shootin' guns. Hey, when you love someone, sometimes you do the things that they enjoy with them. This is one of those times. :)

Justin didn't miss a beat or should I say a target. I was impressed! Oh and as always, Remi girl had the best time running around.
